KOICA's mission in its partners countrries is to ensure rights to education for all by stregthening the education systems in partners countires and encouraging the participation of diverse stakeholders.
KOICA invest in agriculture and rural development to secure the comprehensive well-being of rural people.
KOICA work with its partner countries to mobilized an innovation-based economy and industrial development through vocation projects.
KOICA is carrying out humanitarian assistance activities aound the world in form of cash and in-kind contributions. KOICA deploy disaster relief teams and coperate with other international institutions to carryout its humanitarian assistance. In 2016, KOICA mobilized a total of KRW 38.8 billion to provide humanitarian assistance worldwide including Syrian refugees, settlers in the Gaza Strip of Palestine and victims of drought in Ethiopia.
The KOICA Fellowship Program is one of KOICA’s main projects to support partner countries secure human resources for their development. The primary objective of the Fellowship Program is to share important technical skills and knowledge as well as to build capacities for sustainable socio-economic development.
Approximately 70,000 participants have participated in the Fellowship Program offered by KOICA.
